Plant Breeder
NovaFlora is looking for a plant breeder with strong problem solving and multitasking skills to join its team in Chester County Pennsylvania (South Eastern Pennsylvania), one hour from Philadelphia, twenty minutes from Wilmington Delaware. The successful candidate will conduct breeding and variety development in a range of woody shrubs and perennials. Required qualifications include a Masters degree in plant breeding, horticulture or related subject. Documented expertise in poyploid induction, embryo rescue, and molecular analysis of inter-specifc hybrids is desired. Although preference will be given to applicants with experience and training in ornamental horticulture, applicants from other fields, such as vegetable and/or grain crops will also be considered.
